At MEREFSA, we manufacture die-cut flat gaskets for sealing and leak-proof applications, offering customized solutions or according to the most common standards, such as DIN, ASA, ASME, and API. Our expanded PTFE flat gaskets are made from 100% pure multidirectional expanded PTFE sheets, ensuring excellent chemical and mechanical resistance. Additionally, we have our own die manufacturing section.

Product main features

The die-cut expanded PTFE gaskets are primarily designed as sealing gaskets, offering highly effective sealing in various industrial applications.

Expanded PTFE provides excellent chemical resistance, with a pH range of 0-14, making it compatible with oils, gasoline, water, acids, and other aggressive chemicals, except molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine. Its non-toxicity is certified under CFR 21 FDA 177.2600, EC Regulation 1935/2004, and REACH approval, allowing its use in food and pharmaceutical applications.

This material is highly flexible and has a great capacity to adapt to the sealing surface, making it the ideal solution for damaged or irregular flanges, ensuring a perfect seal. Additionally, it offers excellent pressure resistance, enabling its application in demanding environments.

The working temperature range is from -240 °C to +260 °C, with peak temperatures up to 315 °C, extending its application possibilities in extreme conditions. Its soft structure makes it particularly suitable for flanges at risk of breaking under pressure, such as those made of glass or ceramics, where other, more rigid materials could compromise the integrity of the installation.

Quality control of expanded PTFE flat gaskets

The expanded PTFE flat gaskets manufactured at our facility are subjected to strict production control, supervised by our quality department using high-precision control equipment. Additionally, they comply with international material standards, pressure levels, and dimensions, ensuring compatibility with various application standards.

Our dimensional control ensures the accuracy of measurements according to DIN, ASA, ASME, and API standards. For standardized expanded PTFE gaskets, their classification is based on pressure (Kg/cm²) according to the PN value, with options ranging from PN10 to PN500, adapting to various industrial requirements.

Each expanded PTFE flat gasket is manufactured in our own die-cutting section, under the expertise of a highly specialized team, ensuring:
