Calendered
Calendering is aimed at producing homogeneous silicone sheets of various thicknesses. In this process, silicone is introduced under pressure between metal cylinders that rotate in opposite directions at high temperatures. The distance between the cylinders determines the sheet's thickness. The process is continuous and ends with the cutting of the sheets to a specified width and their winding into standard-length rolls according to thickness. Additionally, depending on the client’s needs, talc application can be performed. These sheets are used as raw materials for secondary cutting processes or as the final product.
Compact Silicone Sheets and Sponge Silicone Sheets
At Merefsa, we maintain a permanent stock of calendered sponge silicone sheets measuring 10 meters long and 1000 mm wide, with thicknesses ranging from 1.5 mm to 30 mm, also available with adhesive backing. In addition, we can supply molded sponge sheets in 1000 mm x 1000 mm formats, with thicknesses from 1.6 mm to 40 mm, in any color and quality.
For compact silicone sheets, we stock thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 15 mm in rolls of 1200 mm width. Other formats are available on request. For non-stocked silicone sheets, the typical delivery time is 2 to 3 weeks.

Silicone Sheet Manufacturing, Configuration Options
We can manufacture silicone sheets with the following options:
- Base Types: standard insulating silicone (MVQ), conductive silicone, steam silicone, fluorosilicone (FVMQ), high-temperature silicone (THT), low-temperature silicone (PMVQ), platinum-cured silicone, food-grade silicone (compliant with FDA CFR21 Section 177.2600, BgVV Recommendation XV), and medical-grade silicone (USP Class VI).
- Hardness: Standard manufacturing in compact silicone at 60 Shore A, but we can produce molded sheets with hardness ranging from 20 to 80 Shore A.
- Density: Standard manufacturing in sponge silicone at 0.25 g/cm³, with the possibility of producing molded sheets with densities from 0.2 g/cm³ to 0.8 g/cm³ in any basic color.
- Color: Manufacturing of calendered sheets in basic colors and, in molded sheets, in any custom RAL color, including luminescent, fluorescent, or metallic options.
